Historic Lancaster Walking Tours has been sharing the stories of Lancaster's past since its first tours in 1976. Offered April through October, tours begin at the Lancaster City Welcome Center at Penn Square at the intersection of King and Queen streets. Tours run Tuesday through Saturday at 1 p.m., and an additional tour is offered at 10 a.m. on market days (Tuesday, Friday and Saturday). No reservations are needed or accepted; simply arrive 10 minutes before the tour to buy your tickets. For just $10, visitors will enjoy a 90-minute walking tour led by experienced guides in period costumes. Best of all, Historic Lancaster Walking Tours is a not-for-profit organization, and all proceeds benefit Lancaster City-based charities and nonprofits.
