Each year, in the heart of Lancaster County's Amish countryside, the Village of Intercourse hosts an old-fashioned holiday experience that's straight out of a Hallmark movie. This charming town, located just 5 miles from After Eight Bed and Breakfast, is transformed into a winter wonderland every December for the Village of Intercourse Holiday Celebration. This year, the event is marking its 27th year, proving just how much it's beloved and treasured. Be sure to witness the small-town holiday magic for yourself on December 6 from noon to 7 p.m. and December 7 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Brought to you by the Intercourse Merchants Association, this two-day event captures the wonder of the holiday season with activities and traditions that will leave you glowing with Christmas spirit. The celebration is centered around the Intercourse Village Library fields, with plenty to see and do all day long.
A Christkindlmarkt in the Countryside
The highlight of the celebration is a German-style Christmas market—Christkindlmarkt—a gathering of talented artisans offering handmade treasures perfect for gift-giving or a little something for yourself.
