M & A Sweet Treats is the hidden gem on our list. This Amish-owned bakery and doughnut shop has all of your Pennsylvania Dutch favorites like whoopie pies, shoofly pies and fry pies. And their doughnuts! From long johns and apple fritters to cinnamon twists and cream filled, the sweet treats made by M & A are always fresh and delicious.
Zig’s Bakery and Cafe │ 800 E. Newport Road, Lititz
Everything made at Zig's Bakery and Cafe starts from scratch in their kitchen from the freshest local ingredients. Their dinner rolls and Moravian Sugarcake are made from time-honored recipes that were passed down from their parent bakeshop, Minnich's Farm Bakery, which originally opened in 1970. Zig's also has a market stand at Lancaster Central Market and the Market at Wilbur.
