Pick-Your-Own Adventure at Cherry Hill Orchards

For 50 years, Cherry Hill Orchards has lived up to their motto: "Your family's food is our family's business." On 150 acres, they maintain more than 2,500 fruit trees with over 100 varieties of apples, cherries, peaches, nectarines, plums and apricots. Much of each crop is harvested by customers; the rest of the fruit is sold at the farm’s store. People from all over come to Cherry Hill Orchards to view the beautiful countryside and pick fresh, tree-ripened fruit.
Throughout each fruit growing season, Cherry Hill features different pick-your-own adventures for customers. Cherry trees are the first of the fruit trees that will be ready to harvest. Dark and light sweet cherries can be harvested in mid-June, followed by sour cherries, which are the preferred cherries for pie-making and canning. Containers for collecting your cherries are provided – 1-quart containers or 5-quart buckets – so pick until your heart's content! As the cherries ripen on the trees, the flavors are phenomenal.
When all the cherries are picked, Cherry Hill Orchards turns their attention to peaches and apples. Peaches will be ripe and ready for picking in early August; apples will be harvested from early August through mid-November, depending on the variety. There's nothing quite as yummy or delicious as picking your favorite fresh fruit and immediately enjoying the fruits of your labor.
When fruit isn't available on the tree to pick, you can still visit Cherry Hill Orchards for farm-fresh produce and other goodies – from baked goods like whoopie pies and apple dumplings to a variety of farm-fresh eggs, milk, cheese and meat, plus many more scrumptious selections. The farm store also sells an assortment of homemade jarred and canned goods, plants and flowers, seasonal decorations, gardening items – the list is endless!
