Spring to Life in Lancaster
Lancaster County has an interesting tradition… neighboring towns spring to life on a rolling schedule on Friday nights. Every Friday is a special event somewhere in Lancaster County. It’s downtown Lancaster’s turn on the First Friday of each month and, on March 6 from 5 to 9 pm, people from all over will head downtown to enjoy the festive atmosphere, dine and stroll the many galleries, studios, museums and shops. On March 20th, Lancaster hosts Music Friday, which recurs the third Friday of each month.
There’s a lot to choose from in live theater entertainment as well. Grumpy Old Men, a new musical based on the 1993 film, opens at the Dutch Apple Dinner Theatre from February 20 through March 28. Calling All Kates, “a quirky cupcake of a comedy”, is at the Prima February 21 through March 14. The American Music Theatre is featuring Always…Patsy Cline on March 1, The Oak Ridge Boys on March 7 and Stomp on March 14. The reality romance series, The Bachelor, will be live onstage on March 19.
The list goes on and on and you can find out more about events during your stay by visiting the Lancaster website. No matter what you choose to do, we’re here to make your stay comfortable and memorable. Our inn, circa 1809, is in the center of Pennsylvania Dutch Country located east of downtown Lancaster. From our backyard you can see a working Amish farm, yet you’re only minutes from outlet shopping, theaters and farmers markets. We look forward to hosting you soon.
