Besides its truly Lancaster heritage as the old Walter Schnader Tobacco Warehouse, the building is also on the National Register of Historic Places. The best brews at Thistle Finch are the award-winning White Rye Whiskey, the Market Alley Gin, and the Penn Square Vodka. The early American style white rye is sweet and spicy and made using traditional methods in the handmade pot still. Market Alley Gin, with its traditional and locally sourced botanical ingredients, delivers a dash of citrus flavor.

Tours of Thistle Finch Distillery and its tasting room are offered every Saturday and Sunday afternoon. Tours typically take just under an hour and feature a sampling of the full product line as well as an intimate account on the history of the building.
